Housing Act 2004 -

 

Intoduced a mechanism for the control of Houses in Multiple Occupation in the form of Licensing.

The definition of an HMO of House in Multiple Occulation under the Housing Act 2004 is very clear in thata property wich is occupied by three or more persons who are unrelated and forming two or more households in an HMO.

 

However there are splits in what constitues Mandatory, Addotional and Selective Licensing under the Act
